Pay The Rent parties tickets

Tickets for our January and February PTR parties are now up for sale!

For Queer Centre's first Pay The Rent Party, we have DJs Ali Tea and Fall On Beats to kick us off. Ali Tea will be playing 9pm-11pm, with Fall On Beats taking the scene 11pm-1am.

What is a "pay the rent" party?

A monthly queer party you can look forward to; Repeating fundraisers held at other venues, saving funds until we open.. and then held at Queer Centre!!

Different sets of DJs for each party, prioritizing queer community. Click on each specific event to find out more about which DJs will be playing.

Bar available! 19+!

Parking is free and available.

We are focusing on harm reduction as we embrace parties as fundraiser opportunities.

Every party will have volunteer Designated Drivers that are available to you. No drunk driving!

You can access our DD ride sign-up at the check-in table.

Unable to buy your ticket online? Just bring $20 at the door!

Sliding scale entry available. No one turned away for lack of funds!

Pride 2026

Plans are aiming to schedule Comox Valley Pride 2026 for August 29th! This will mean that the weekend shouldn't conflict with Ribfest this year :)

First Queer Centre AGM

We're having our first Annual General Meeting!
We were officially registered as a non-profit society on February 27th, 2025.
Everyone with active memberships will be given official notice. All are welcome to attend regardless of membership. Snacks and light refreshments will be provided.

Youth Media Project 2025b released

The YMP features youths from diverse backgrounds, elevating them to directors of their own short films.

25th of December

Our community dinner was a huge success. We had 1 turkey, 2 hams, and 2 vegan roasts, with a broad array of different foods for different dietary restrictions, and 17 attendees present for our holiday feast.

Jojo directed the kitchen, being assisted at every turn by different members of our beautiful 2SLGBTQIA+ family.

Thank you to Foundry Comox Valley for allowing us to utilize their space for so many community events like this one.

Camp Huckleberry Interest Form

"We have opened our 2026 Interest form for Camp Huckleberry: Queer Backpacking Camp, a 5-day camp for 2-spirit, queer and trans youth aged 14-17 in Strathcona Provincial Park.

Sliding scale and fully funded spots available, no application required.

At this time we are just gathering interest for 2026, and will reach out in the new year to let folks know about available spots and dates. Please feel free to share with your network, and youth who may be interested."

We will gather on Wednesdays to jump, laugh and connect.
During House - Beginners series, where we’ll explore the fundamentals of house dance, its history, and musicality.

This expressive rhythm is rooted in liberation, play, and creativity. A space to move, explore, and reconnect with joy in your body.

Expect to sweat, play, and practice fun exercises that gently guide you into the world of house dance, step by step.

We honour the music as a teacher and your body as a guide. Come as you are — curious, tired, excited, or all of it at once.
