Fieramente Choir, the North Island’s 2SLGBTQIA+ Choir, is hosting a Queer Arts Festival to highlight queer and trans artists and the organizations that support our communities.

There will be live performances throughout the afternoon and an artists market at which artists can showcase the work they have on display and/or for sale. Community groups are invited to reserve a table and share how their organization supports our 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in the North Island.

The festival’s theme, Fun is Resistance, emphasizes the power of joy, visibility, and community-building as acts of defiance against marginalization and oppression. Gabriola Pride is an all-ages event, incorporating youth-oriented programming, opportunities for community connection, live performances, an open stage for local talent, and a dance.
